Qutab Minar  - The highest monument of India, Qutb Minar is 72.5 m high, tapering from 2.75 m in diameter at its peak, to 14.32 m at its base, and alternating angular and rounded flutings. Humayun's Tomb , is mausoleum of the Mughal emperor Humayun. Bahai Temple , or the Lotus Temple is a marvel of modern architecture. Set among pools and gardens, adherents of any faith can visit, pray or meditate.


Kalka Tour Distance : 16km from Chandigarh, 93km from Shimla

This is the terminus for the narrow gauge railway from/to Shimla and is just over the border into the state of Haryana. On your Shimla India tour take a halt at Kalka. There nothing to see in Kalka, so don’t bother spending time here unless you really want to stretch your legs a bit.



Shimla, the capital city of Himachal Pradesh, lies about 343 km from Delhi at an altitude of 2,213 metres above sea level. Before the British discovered it in 1819, Shimla was a small village that was part of the Nepalese kingdom. In 1830, the local Raja was persuaded to part with the land by the British and the settlement became the subcontinent’s most fashionable summer resort. Shimla was declared the summer capital of India in 1864. After India’s independence, Shimla became the capital of Punjab till 1966, when it came under Himachal Pradesh.

The summers in Shimla are quit pleasant as the maximum temperature rarely crosses 25°C. Winters are cold and Shimla experiences quite a heavy snowfall. If you are among those who want to escape from the scorching heat of the plains, Shimla would be the ideal getaway. But for those who love snow, a visit in winters can be an exciting experience.



This pleasant sprawling town set among the pine-clad hills presents the visitor with glimpses of fading colonial charm. The buildings, The Mall, the picnic spots tell you the story of the era when it was the summer capital of the British India. A visit to the Mall brings you to the centre of activity in the city. Move around the city and you get to see some of the fascinating sights of the landscape around. Some of the major attractions around are Jakhoo Hill, Glen, Summer Hill, Chadwick Falls, Prospect Hill, Institute of Advance Studies, Sankat Mochan, Taradevi Temple and Himachal State Museum.



Located in the Kullu Valley in the state of Himachal Pradesh, Manali is one of the most beautiful hill stations of the country. The town provides ample opportunities for adventure sport and winter sports. Easily accessible by road and a major base point for many of the important passes of the country, Manali draws a good number of tourists from within the country and abroad every year.

Manali has a number of thrilling and picture perfect sites to visit. Some of the important attractions are the natural hot-water fountain and temple in the Vashishtha Baths, the legendary Hadimba Devi Temple and the picturesque Tibetan Monastery. Go a little bit away from the town, and you come across the legendary Arjun Gufa, the historical Jagatsukh, the Nehru Kund, Kothi, and the Solang Valley, besides the Rehalla Falls.


Exursions : Places nearby city - Manali


Manali offers sites nearby that you can visit on a daylong trip. These places provide you a view of the magnificent Himalayas and the scintillating feeling of being one with the Mother Nature. The region around Manali also has some of the major passes of the country. The Rohtang Pass, Keylong, Naggar, Manikaran, Udaipur, Bhutta Weavers Colony, Kullu and the Bhuntar are some of the places that are worth a visit.



About 5km southwest on the Chandigarh road are the beautiful Mughal gardens at Pinjore.
The gardens were laid out by Aurangzeb’s foster brother Fidai Khan, who was also the architect of the Badshahi Mosque at Lahore. Within the char bagh (complex of four gardens, typical of Mughal style) are a number of palaces in Mughal-Rajput style.
The Sheesh Mahal has a beautiful mirror-studded ceiling and is cooled by water flowing underneath. The Rang Mahal, an arched pavilion, is decorated with traditional guldasta (bouquet) motifs while the Jal Mahal is set among cool fountains. The garden makes a popular picnic spot with a mini zoo thrown in for good measure too. Don’t miss the camel ride there. (Also check Pinjore in Haryana)

Day 01 : Arrive – Kalka - Shimla
On arrival in Delhi meeting and assistance and transfer to railway station to board train for Kalka.  On arrival at Kalka drive straight to Shimla.  Arrive Shimla and check-in at hotel . Overnight at hotel.


Deay 02 : In Shimla
Full day visit Shimla including visit to Jakhu temple . Evening free at leisure.  Overnight at hotel.


Day 03 : Shimla – Kullu - Manali
Morning depart by surface to Manali enroute visiting Kulu , On arrival check in at hotel . Overnight  at hotel.


Day 04: In Manali
Full day excursion of Rohthanpass & Solang Vally . Overnight at hotel.


Day 05 : In Manali
Morning city tour . Afternoon free for independent activities. Overnight at hotel.


Day 06 : Manali – Kalka – Delhi
